A major free update titled “Surge of Voidrax” has been released for the action RPG Lost Soul Aside by Sony Interactive Entertainment and Ultizero Games on November 18.
The update is highlighted by a demanding new challenge mode, alongside multiple quality-of-life and visual improvements.
Introducing Surge of Voidrax Challenge Mode
The Surge of Voidrax Dimension has been created by Liana using Imperial technology to contain scattered Voidrax energy. However, this energy has transformed into Phantom Voidrax, causing continuous breaches.
Kaser is requested by Liana to enter the dimension, where up to 100 waves of enemies must be faced to restore stability.
Key Features of Surge of Voidrax
- 100 consecutive waves are encountered, with difficulty increased progressively.
- All skill trees and the four main weapons are unlocked immediately.
- Diverse bosses and monsters from the main game are featured.
- Liana’s Shop is accessed between waves for potions, accessories, Arena Power boosts, and new weapons.
- Exclusive Phantom Cards are earned upon first-time wave clearances, used to craft unique cosmetic appearances.
Limits are tested through skill, strategy, and endurance in this mode.
Additional Gameplay Enhancements Added
Several upgrades have been implemented across the full game.
Prologue Skip Option Provided
The prologue can now be skipped entirely, allowing direct entry into core combat.
Voidrax Pathfinder Implemented
Guidance to objectives and puzzle solutions is offered by the new Voidrax Pathfinder system.
New Customization Skins Released
Additional appearances have been added, including “X” weapon accessories, Crystal weapons, armor sets, and knight costumes.
Cinematic Cutscenes Revamped
Character expressions have been enhanced for greater realism, global lighting and shadows improved, and lip-sync added to environmental voices.
Combat and Control Improvements Applied
- Button layouts can be fully customized.
- Actions such as rolling, double jumps, Scythe, and Greatsword skills have been refined for smoother execution.
